To finance and build Arctic Link, Old Harbor Native Corporation and Ouzinkie Native Corporation, both authorized under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, and owners of Kodiak Kenai Cable Company (KKCC), joined with KhaNNet in sponsoring the Arctic Cable Company (ACC).

KKCC was established by the Old Harbor Native Corporation and Ouzinkie Native Corporation for the purposes of constructing and operating advanced telecommunications facilities for use by service providers.

Arctic Cable Company, LLC is an international consortium building the Arctic Link (AL), a submarine fiber optic telecommunications system providing a direct low latency route (89 milliseconds) from Asia to Europe - the market identified as currently in most need.

Kodiak Kenai Cable Company and KhaNNet (a member of the Khanjee family of companies), are sponsoring this international consortium to finance, design and build this historic first-ever submarine fiber optic cable spanning the arctic region.

Construction of Arctic Link is scheduled to begin in 2011 with completion in 2013.
